The Oxygen Therapy Centre in Suffolk adopts a Medical PSA Oxygen System from Oxysystems, ensuring sustainability and cost-effectiveness while maintaining reliable therapy services.

The Suffolk Oxygen Therapy Centre

The Suffolk Oxygen Therapy Centre is a charitable organization based in Great Blakenham, Ipswich, Suffolk, dedicated to providing subsidized oxygen therapy to individuals across East Anglia. Their mission is to support people on their journey toward wellness and recovery by making oxygen therapy accessible to those who may benefit from it.

Established in 1983, the centre has grown to become one of the largest and longest-running oxygen centres in the country, operating three chambers and serving over 250 members. They conduct more than 3,000 therapy sessions annually and have expanded their services to include a gym offering complementary therapy with power-assisted exercise machines.

The Suffolk Oxygen Therapy Centre is funded entirely through donations, grants, and year-round fundraising activities, ensuring that oxygen therapy remains accessible to those in need.

Medical-grade oxygen is essential for the centre’s operations. In recent years, the rapid rise in conventional oxygen supply costs threatened its ability to provide vital treatments to those in need. To address this challenge, the centre shifted towards on-site production and self-sustainability.

Through a partnership with Oxysystems, the centre now benefits from a complete PSA medical oxygen solution. This includes an OS-6-OX generator, a compact filling station with an oil-free high-pressure booster and a bottle bank. This setup ensures a reliable oxygen supply, eliminating financial strain from rising conventional supply costs.
